Ten royal beasts line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace and the beasts, sculpted in stone, represent the union and royal ancestry of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour. These magnificent guardians have inspired a new bullion collection – The Royal Tudor Beasts – the fifth coin in the collection features the Tudor Dragon.

David Lawrence’s design of the mythical dragon adorns the reverse of the coin, alongside a background that resembles chain mail and includes surface animation that provides the coin with additional security. The obverse features the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings.
